Dear Friend:

November 2, 2010 will be a decisive day for our country. What happens at the ballot box that day will forever affect the direction our nation takes. Voters will determine whether we continue down the road of wealth redistribution, higher taxation and the further erosion of our God given rights, or whether we choose the path of freedom and liberty that prospered the people of this country.

Many Americans, including myself, have been asleep at the wheel and have trusted government to run the nation. This has proven to be disastrous!   A large majority of our elected officials have taken advantage of this to promote their self-interest and re-election rather than truly looking out for “We the people”.  Now, that I have awakened to their chicanery, I find my letters and calls are ignored. Public servants now do as they please, or should I more accurately say — whatever the party deems best for the people. One wonders whether these men and women have ever read the Constitution that they swear a sacred oath to uphold.

In my opinion, we are at a crossroads. Choices we make today will determine where we are twenty years from now.  Will we still have a high standard of living or will we be reduced to third world standards? Will we still enjoy God-given rights and freedom or will we live under the heavy hand of government?  Will our children and grand children enjoy the same opportunities that past generations of Americans have enjoyed?

With these thoughts in mind, I have decided to run for the office of Missouri State Representative in District 102 here in Jefferson County.  I am not a politician; I am a family man with a blue collar job, who faces the same struggles that most Americans do. I am not looking for a political career or political power, but my desire is to serve my community and my family, plain and simple. I want to face my grandchildren with a clear conscience, so they will know I did everything to secure the blessings of liberty for them and their posterity.

Politically speaking, I am a constitutional conservative that believes the Founding Fathers got it right! You will never have to wonder where I stand on the issues. I’ll always stand firm with the Constitution.

To be successful in my campaign, I will need a great deal of help.  I ask you to be involved not only with   your time and energy, but with your finances.  It takes money to win elections, and I am asking you to contribute generously.

I’m asking you today to make a choice. Will you help me put our nation back on track?

Thank you,

Richard Blowers

Constitution Party Candidate for State Representative District #102
